Application Development Lead Analyst

Position Overview

In this role, you will provide hands-on software engineering and production support for one of our enterprise Finance Technology teams. You will be working on enterprise financial and accounting systems critical to the operational success of Evernorth Health Services, US Employer, and International business segments within The Cigna Group. The focus of the work will be to ensure the operational stability of our Virtual Trader Spreadsheet server application suite.

This is a hands-on position with visibility to the highest levels of Finance Technology management who are motivated to see the successful results of our efforts. The role focuses on enabling Cignas financial transformation to the cloud using the latest technologies and development techniques within the Oracle cloud infrastructure stack, including Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Finance Reporting tools like Spreadsheet server, Oracle application express (APEX) Office Print reports for Virtual trader application.
• Support Data replication tools like Angles for Oracle.
• Architecting Automation, deployment and migration using DevOps tools.
• Perform proof-of-concepts and create simulations to prove out solutions.
• Design the Functional specifications for technology production support and project teams.
• Participate in coding, unit testing, debugging and delivering reporting applications.
• Design, develop and maintain APEX reports, spreadsheet server reports
• Performance tuning experience of SQL queries.
• Stay updated on product features and best practices.

Required Skills:

• Expert in building reports using Oracle Application Express (APEX) tool.
• Strong knowledge of Apex Office Printing (AOP) configuration and template development.
• Working experience with Virtual Trader is strong plus.
• Design, develop, and enhance financial reports using Insight Spreadsheet Server for Oracle ERP.
• Hands-on experience with Insight Software Spreadsheet Server, including report building and administration.
• Automate tasks and reports using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Excel.
• Integrate and transform data from Oracle and other sources for use in spreadsheet and PDF reporting.
• Knowledge of Spreadsheet server excel add on tool, Angles for Oracle Replication tool
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL is crucial.
• Monitor and support scheduled and ad-hoc report generation across all platforms (Spreadsheet Server, AOP, BI Publisher).
• Experience with SQL and PL/SQL for custom data extraction and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in data models, data flows and data visualizations concepts.
• Knowledge about On-premises to Cloud data migration and vice versa.
• Expertise in most of the following technologies- Advanced Microsoft Excel, BI, ETL Tools.
• Expertise in agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Oracle Fusion Applications.
• Exposure to ServiceNow, Jira, or other ITSM tools for incident/change management.
• Solid understanding of Oracle ERP (EBS or Fusion) data structures and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of financial processes such as General Ledger, AP/AR, Fixed Assets and Operational Expenses.
• Work closely with finance and business users to gather requirements and translate them into efficient reporting solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Required Experience Education:

• 3-5 Years of Oracle Application express development experience
• 5-7 years of experience in Oracle PLSQL development and performance tuning
• Proven Architect with design, and development of large-scale enterprise reporting application solutions.
• College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.

Desired Experience:

• Expertise in reporting and cloud products.
• Expertise in Insurance and health care domain.
• Leading and mentoring the team members.

Location Hours of Work

• Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate
• Hyderabad Innovation Hub - In-Office
• 11:30AM - 8:30 PM IST
