Application Developer (Workday Prism)

We are seeking a talented Workday Prism Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing Workday Prism solutions to meet business needs. The candidate should be passionate about leveraging Workday's analytics and reporting capabilities to drive business insights and improve decision-making processes.

The Application Developer will be responsible for writing code for new applications and maintaining code for existing applications, along with developing enhancements as required. In addition, the Application Developer will analyse and understand project requirements for both internal and client projects. Requires to understand data transformation using tools Workday Prism and core Workday HCM modules. This will include the assignment of technical resources to project deliverables, management of technology solution and adhering to formal performance management processes, ensuring timelines and quality of deliverables across a portfolio of technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Workday Prism solutions to meet business requirements

• Integrate data from various sources into Workday Prism to create comprehensive and insightful reports and analytics

• Customize Workday Prism functionalities to enhance its capabilities and meet business needs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, and IT to gather requirements and implement solutions

• Conduct thorough quality assurance testing of Workday Prism solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance

• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for Workday Prism solutions

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Workday Prism solutions, addressing any issues or enhancements as needed

• Write code for new applications, maintain code for existing applications and develop enhancements as required

• Implement new software for system and ensure seamless integration with existing applications

• Analyse and understand project requirements, help setup tools to assist developer functions

• Diagnose, solve computer system software problems as required, ensure SFTP servers operational

• Write documentation and diagrams describing software systems, write unit tests, functional tests and developer integration tests

• Must follow BGO change management and SDLC policy, company core values and other programs

• Additional information security responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

• Workday Prism Extend certification is highly preferred

Experience

• Minimum of two to five year experience in developing and implementing Workday Prism solutions, as programmer or analyst position

• Knowledge of software development and programming design and systems management

• Demonstrated understanding of design patterns and architecture

• Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies

• Good project management skills and substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models

• An understanding of DevOps principles and tooling, understanding Waterfall and Agile method

• Strong database skills, ability to write queries, stored procedures and reports

• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

• Extensive experience with core software applications, including:

• Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server

• Nice to have, knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, PowerShell, Java, CSS, JQuery

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Prism technologies for building robust applications, reporting dashboard

• Experience in designing and implementing integrations involving Prism and Workday platforms

• Proficiency in Prism integration tools e.g. Prism Analytics, Prism Connect and Workday integration

• As a WD Prism architect understand the core HCM modules and the business processes driving the HR Data, work closely with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements

• Understand data modelling, data governance and tools like WD Adaptive, Extend, Prism

• Strong understanding of Workday HCM and Financials modules

• Experience with Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields and EIBs

• Knowledge of data integration techniques and tools

• Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate them into meaningful insights

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail
