Project Role : Application Developer Project Role Description : Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. Must have skills : Microsoft SQL Server Good to have skills : NA Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : BE or Btech Summary :As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements using Microsoft SQL Server. Your typical day will involve working with the development team, analyzing business requirements, and developing solutions to meet those requirements. Technical and Functional requirements:?Good understanding on RISK applications.?Experience in COTS application and have worked on upgrades and orchestration(like integration with any third party tool).?Experience on SQL and power shell scripting.?Good to have knowledge around Servers and its configuration settings. ?Added advantage having understanding of tools like AIR Touchstone, Sequel Impact.?Good to have knowledge of application integration, system administration automation, any scripting automationJob Role and Day-to-day activities:?work in B shift due to active participation in meetings with weekend support once or twice a month and Prod Patching test once every 3 months.?Perform BAU activities as and when required by the team when there is low bandwidth.?Actively participate in critical issue investigations, perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, other tools and propose solutions accordingly.?Drive internal, vendor, BTS stakeholder, business meetings and send minutes out as applicable.?Represent the team wherever required and be the main point of contact for technical support or issues especially during non-US hours.?Intervene when team faces challenges in performing their deliverables on time, understand the priority of activities and guide the team accordingly.?Guide business users, who reach out, appropriately.?Perform demand capacity planning and projections for applications under scope and maintain inventory for the same. Present the same to BTS stakeholders, Infrastructure leads and business users for approval and engage vendor as required.?Drive the end-to-end planning of application upgrades for massive infrastructure, from approvals to delivery and decommissions including but not limited to, timelines, database and disk migration strategy planning, upgrade activities planning, etc.?Identify areas of improvement and automation, present it to the client and implement the same to reduce team's efforts and load.?Create presentations for the client as and when needed and sometimes present the same to business.
