Apparel Sourcing Manager

As the Sourcing Manager - Apparel, you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain by identifying, developing, and managing a strong vendor network to meet the demands of our rapidly evolving fashion calendar. Working closely with design, merchandising, and production teams, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality apparel products specifically tailored for the Indian market. To excel in this role, you should have: - At least 5-7 years of sourcing experience with a prominent apparel retailer in India - A solid vendor network in key apparel hubs such as Delhi-NCR, Tiruppur, Jaipur, Surat, etc. - Proficiency in fabrics, garment construction, and cost engineering - Hands-on sourcing experience across various categories like casualwear, ethnicwear, westernwear, etc. - Strong negotiation and relationship management skills - Knowledge of compliance norms and sustainable sourcing practices would be advantageous - Proficiency in MS Excel, PLM tools, and ERP systems - A bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, or related fields Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and executing strategic sourcing plans based on seasonal and category requirements - Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding vendors and manufacturers across India (and potentially overseas) - Ensuring timely deliveries, quality compliance, and ethical sourcing standards - Monitoring production progress and addressing any delays proactively - Collaborating closely with design, tech, and merchandising teams to ensure product feasibility and execution - Analyzing supplier performance regularly and implementing corrective measures when necessary - Staying abreast of market trends, fabric innovations, and emerging sourcing hubs Join us for the opportunity to be part of a high-energy team that is building a contemporary fashion brand from scratch.
