JOB POSITION
Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a highly creative and meticulous QA Engineer, who will be responsible for testing all requirements for our leader communications. The incumbent will report to Manager - Communications and must understand the design process, liaising with multiple stakeholders to understand the brief and deliver all in-house design requirements, apart from coordinating with external agencies to ensure brand guidelines are followed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
QA Engineer -will be responsible for the following:
  • Perform manual API testing using tools like Postman and SOAP-UI, validating request/response structures and status codes.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to independently design test scenarios and test cases.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile/SCRUM environments to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data and ensure data consistency.
  • Use tools such as Splunk, Bitbucket, Bamboo, DataDog, and JIRA for test tracking, defect logging, and work log maintenance.
  • Utilize SQL Developer for advanced database validations and test data preparation (added advantage).
  • Contribute to API automation using Rest Assured and Java (added advantage).
  • Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, sharing QA insights and updates.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting test results, risks, and quality metrics with clarity.
  • Apply domain knowledge in Healthcare, particularly in the Provider domain, to validate business logic and workflows.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating test cases into tools like Bamboo, ensuring continuous testing and deployment readiness.
  • Work effectively in distributed Agile teams, following defined QA processes and best practices.
  • Perform regression, integration, and system testing to ensure end-to-end functionality.
  • Identify and document test data requirements, environment needs, and dependencies for successful test execution.
  • Participate in peer reviews of test cases and requirements to ensure thorough coverage and accuracy.
  • Contribute to test metrics and reporting, supporting continuous quality improvements.
  • Drive innovation and contribute to automation initiatives that help reduce manual effort, improve test efficiency, and deliver measurable cost savings to the QA process.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering
EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years of relevant experience working in QA, API/Manual/Functional Testing
