Job Description

About the Role:

API Integration Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand business and technical requirements for integrating Xporience products with third-party systems (Salesforce, Custom CRM's, Payment gateways, etc.).
  • Design and implement RESTful API integrations, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Analyze and manage the

    impact on server performance

    when enabling or scaling APIs.
  • Build and monitor

    data synchronization

    processes (real-time and scheduled).
  • Implement strong

    error handling and retry mechanisms

    for failed API calls.
  • Coordinate directly with clients to gather requirements and suggest the best technical approaches.
  • Prepare detailed documentation including API specs, endpoints, and data flow diagrams.
  • Work with internal teams for troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Manage authentication (JWT, Bearer tokens, etc.) and ensure data security compliance.
  • Provide post-integration support and issue resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:

    M.Sc. in Computer Science, MCA, or Engineering in Computer/IT (educational background must be from IT or Computer field).
  • Experience:

    Minimum 4+ years of experience in API development and integration using PHP (CodeIgniter preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of

    REST APIs, JSON, cURL, and HTTP protocols

    .
  • Proficient in

    MySQL

    and data synchronization processes.
  • Understanding of

    Apache/PHP performance optimization

    and server load analysis.
  • Experience with

    error handling, logging, and retry logic

    .
  • Excellent communication skills and client coordination experience.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, SES) or equivalent cloud services.
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and API key-based authentication.
  • Experience with caching (Redis), webhooks, or background job queues.
  • Knowledge of event-tech systems or CRM integrations.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent documentation and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to handle client discussions independently.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in taking ownership of tasks.
