Job Description

API Developer

Roles and Responsibilities

API Design and Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure
RESTful and SOAP APIs
.
Integration and Data Management:
Integrate APIs with internal systems and third-party services.
Performance and Security:
Monitor and optimize API performance and implement security protocols like
OAuth
and
JWT
.
Testing and Debugging:
Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for APIs.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with front-end and back-end developers and provide technical support to internal and external partners.

Skills Required

Proven experience in developing and managing
RESTful and SOAP APIs
.
Strong programming skills in
JavaScript, Python, Node.js, .NET, or Java
.
Experience with
API management platforms
(
Postman, Swagger, Apigee
).
Knowledge of security best practices (
OAuth 2.0, JWT
).
An understanding of data exchange formats like
JSON
and
XML
.
Experience with cloud platforms (
AWS, Azure, GCP
).
A strong understanding of version control systems (
Git
).
Must have experience developing a dedicated API platform for third parties.
