Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled API Automation Tester with extensive experience in API Automation Testing using Java - RestAssured . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies . This role involves ensuring the quality and performance of APIs through rigorous automated testing. Key Responsibilities: Perform API Automation Testing using Java - RestAssured (5+ years of experience required). Conduct API testing using Postman . Develop and maintain test scripts following BDD or TDD methodologies. Utilize Cucumber or similar frameworks that support BDD . Work with Jenkins and Maven for automation execution. Manage and integrate CI/CD pipelines effectively. Validate JSON files and ensure structured data testing. Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation. Conduct manual testing where necessary to complement automation efforts. Utilize test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr for tracking and reporting. Implement best practices in Object-Oriented Programming (Java) . Follow Agile + DevOps methodologies for efficient process management. Adhere to software testing principles and methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives. Must-Have Skills: 5+ years of experience in API Automation Testing (Java - RestAssured) . Strong hands-on experience in API testing using Postman . Expertise in BDD/TDD methodologies with Cucumber or similar frameworks . Proficiency in Jenkins, Maven, and CI/CD pipeline integration . Solid understanding of SQL queries and JSON validation . Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr). Strong grasp of manual testing concepts when required. Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (Java) . Experience working in Agile + DevOps environments. Strong knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies . Excellent communication and collaboration skills .
