API Automation Tester

Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Tester with strong hands-on experience in Selenium, TestNG, JIRA, JMeter, Postman, RestAssured, and API Testing. The ideal candidate should have a passion for quality and a deep understanding of automation tools and best practices in both UI and API test automation. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium, WebDriver and TestNG. Create and execute API automation using RestAssured and Postman. Conduct performance testing using JMeter to assess application reliability and responsiveness. Track and manage test activities, issues, and defects using JIRA. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Review test cases, maintain regression suites, and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Analyse test results, identify bugs, and follow through to resolution. Ensure testing best practices and standards are consistently followed. Mandatory Skills: RestAssured API automation testing Postman Functional API testing Selenium WebDriver UI automation TestNG Test framework JIRA Bug and task tracking JMeter Performance and Load Testing Strong API Testing mandatory (RESTful services) Solid understanding of Automation Frameworks and software testing life cycle Preferred Qualifications: Experience with version control systems ( Git) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) Good programming/scripting knowledge in Java Experience in API Testing
