API Automation Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in API, Java and Selenium, with proven experience in AWS and BDD frameworks like Cucumber. Familiarity with AWS DevOps, SQL, and Microsoft Power Automate is highly desirable. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality test coverage and delivery

Role & responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks for

  UI (Selenium)

  and

  API testing (RestAssured/Postman/etc.)

  using

  Java

  .
• Develop BDD scenarios using

  Cucumber

  and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Create reusable libraries, automation scripts, and utilities to optimize testing efforts.
• Execute automated and manual test cases, document results, and track defects.
  

API Testing & Integration

• Perform API validations including

  REST/SOAP

  , JSON/XML schema validation, and error-handling scenarios.
• Work with tools like

  Postman, RestAssured, Swagger

  , etc.
• Validate integrations between microservices and backend systems.
  

Cloud & DevOps

• Work in

  AWS cloud environments

  ; validate application functionality in cloud-deployed systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automation into

  CI/CD pipelines

  using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline.

Required Skills and Qualification

• 510 years

  of experience in automation testing.
• Strong hands-on expertise in

  Java

  programming for automation.
• Proven experience with

  Selenium WebDriver

  and advanced automation techniques.
• Strong BDD skills using

  Cucumber

  or similar tools.
• Solid experience in

  API automation

  using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Experience testing applications deployed on

  AWS

  (Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Knowledge of

  CI/CD tools

  such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or AWS pipelines.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with version control tools like

  Git
