API Automation Testers

Roles & Responsibilities

Design and develop
API automation test scripts
using
Rest Assured
and
Java/JavaScript
.
Implement
BDD frameworks
using
Cucumber with Gherkin syntax
.
Write and maintain
complex SQL queries
for data validation and backend testing.
Automate REST APIs using JavaScript for robust regression coverage.
Collaborate with developers, BA, and QA teams to ensure quality and performance of APIs.
Actively participate in
CI/CD pipelines
, using tools such as
GitHub, Jenkins
, and manage defects via
JIRA
.
Provide detailed documentation and reports for all automated scripts and execution results.
Ensure test coverage, traceability, and proper version control of all test artifacts.

Mandatory Skills

5+ years
of total automation testing experience.
3+ years
of hands-on experience with
API Rest Assured Automation
.
Strong knowledge and experience with
Core Java
.
Minimum
2 years
of experience with
JavaScript
for automation.
Experience creating
complex SQL queries
.
Deep understanding of
BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
and
Gherkin syntax
.
Experience working with
CI/CD pipelines
,
GitHub
, and
JIRA
.
Good understanding of
API testing fundamentals
.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience in the
banking domain
is a strong plus.
Experience with
test data management
in a dynamic, multi-environment setup.
