About the Position

The Program Manager (PM) will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and managing GDCs in-person and online programs. The PM will coordinate with faculty, instructors, mentors, and start-up teams to ensure smooth execution of training initiatives.

The role demands a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful individual who can handle administrative, communication, and operational aspects of multiple projects simultaneously. The PM will also manage office administration, budgeting, and accounting related to GDC activities.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop program management, communication, and leadership skills in a dynamic academic and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate GDC programs, webinars, and workshops.
  • Communicate with instructors, mentors, and participants to ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain program data, documents, and MIS reports.
  • Manage accounts and administrative operations of GDC.
  • Support event promotion and outreach activities.

About GDC, IIT Madras

GDC works with STEM universities across India to implement a Lab to Market mission by helping faculty, researchers, and students commercialise their research through startups. GDCs flagship program, I-NCUBATE, has found wide acceptability across several universities and incubators. Preferred Candidate Profile:

Qualification:

  • Graduate in any discipline (mandatory).
  • Postgraduate degree (MBA / MA / M.Com / M.Ed /equivalent) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in program management, academic coordination, corporate training, or administrative roles in a college/university, corporate setup, or training organization.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills fluent in English; workingknowledge of Tamil and Hindi preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, email communication, andonline meeting tools (Zoom/Teams).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, andinteract with faculty, professionals, and students.
  • Experience in handling program logistics,documentation, contracts, and database management.

Perks and Benifits:
