Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Android Developer to join our mobile development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver engaging user experiences and innovative mobile solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work with outside data sources and APIs (REST, JSON, etc.). Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Troubleshoot and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in Android app development. Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java. Solid understanding of the Android SDK, Android UI design principles, and best practices. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. Strong understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVP, MVVM, Clean Architecture). Experience with Android Jetpack components (Room, ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, etc.). Knowledge of Git or other version control systems. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD tools and processes. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Knowledge of Firebase, Google Play Store deployment, and analytics tools. Contributions to open-source projects or personal apps in the Play Store.
