Roles & Responsibilities:

The candidate should have a strong track record in the applied use of databases and statistics, a comprehensive understanding of business modelling and the ability to generate meaningful insights from data.

  • Conduct hands on modelling/ advanced analytics retrieving, compiling, and analysing data from various sources into distilled, actionable information. Major model types include time series sales analysis and logistical regression analysis.
  • Handle the delivery of modelling projects through the process from data collection, data cleaning and modelling to presentation. Develop recommendations and clearly communicate results of analysis to internal and external teams.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage analytical tools and platforms (E.g., R, SQL, VBA, Python) to achieve better efficiency / automation of the workstreams within MSU team.
  • Should proactively communicate and manage client expectations while collaborating with internal teams and other MSU (Marketing Science Unit).

There are three primary KPIs for this role:

  • Timely delivery of data analysis, reports and presentations
  • Help to create and promote an analytics culture within the team
  • Support team lead to manage clients

Skills and Competencies:

  • Graduate in a numerical or marketing discipline with at least 6 years’ of experience in a business consultancy, market research or data analysis role.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Familiar with one or more of R, Python or SAS. VBA is also favourable.
  • Experience with database (e.g SQL) and visualization tools (e.g. power bi, tableau, Datorama) 
  • An in-depth understanding and prior application of econometrics would be particularly valuable
  • Well conversant and ability to manage communication across levels; internal and client
