Analyst: Purchase to Pay

What You'll Do

This position is an Analyst role on the Global Financial Services and Systems Purchase-to-Pay team and is an integral part of the invoice to pay life cycle on both Oracle and SAP based system. The primary responsibilities of this position include maintining and audit of accounting rules, accounting adjustments to clean stranded balances in GRIR/APPO, reporting, month close procedures, system admin and hygenie of payments thru checks

• Accounting rule and maintenance: Maintain the accounting rules in the boundary systems (FS2, MV etc) and periodically audit them to ensure they are accurate and current
• Accounting and Audit support: Perform accounting adjustments to balance sheet payable accounts like GRIR, APPO etc. and ensure compliance to applicable financial controls and policies. Support Audit in confirmation letters
• Reporting of various reports/dashboards e.g. holds etc thru MS-Excel and PowerBI. Includes the maintenance of the BI dashboard to ensure its current and meets customers reporting needs
• Vendor Maintenance and support: Support AP team with Boundary system maintenance and review of queue (MV Plant queue review/admin). Initiate the re-processing of stale dated cheques and ensuring bank reconciliations are clean with respect to stale checks
• Support sub-ledge Month End close

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting with a minumum of 4 years of experience in Accounts payable in large shared service
• minumum of 4 years of experience in Accounts payable in large shared service

Skills

• Strong Accounting knowledge in AP and/or GL within the SAP and/or Oracle platforms.
• Working knowledge of boundary systems that interface to ERP's is preferable
• Proficient in the use of MS Office tools like Excel, Power BI
• - Ability to work in a globally diverse environment
• Excellent problem solving and written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented with effective organization and time management skills
• Highly motivated, highly analytical and self-starter
