Analyst, Governance & Control, IFSC Banking Unit, Gift City

As an Assistant in the IBU COO office at DBS Bank Limited IBU, located at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, your main role will be to assist in implementing the DBS Policy and Processes to ensure a sound Risk and Control environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Timely implementation of DBS Policy and Processes - Conducting thematic reviews on AML / CFT and other areas - Improving AML policies and controls as necessary - Tracking for closure of Audit issues and ensuring non-repeat occurrences - Assisting in GL, Nostro, and other reconciliations - Monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for governance and control purposes - Actively supporting in RCSA activities for governance and control Your duties and responsibilities will involve: - Assessing IBUs proficiency in complying with CDD/AML Policy of the Bank/Regulator - Monitoring compliance with internal policies and external regulations - Identifying control gaps and issues, and driving remediation efforts - Conducting Thematic Reviews to identify & mitigate AML/Financial Crime Risk - Assisting in investigating and resolving AML / KYC related issues - Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems - Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry trends - Engaging key stakeholders to promote a strong risk culture and ensure smooth implementation of governance and control initiatives - Improving Controls / Compliance for IBG India and embedding risk culture within the team - Supporting monitoring of other KRIs related to operational and credit risk - Supporting in GLAO certification and daily Nostro reconciliation - Assisting in various audit submissions including IFSCA, Group, and Concurrent audits Required Experience: - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Institutional / Wholesale / Corporate Banking or AML / KYC Education / Preferred Qualifications: - CA / MBA / Graduate with minimum 5 + years of relevant experience - Knowledge of financial markets and instruments (beneficial) Core Competencies: - Data-driven and proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - Critical thinking, analytical abilities & ability to independently drive activities - Attention to detail and accuracy - Effective written and verbal communication Technical Competencies: - Knowledge of IFSCA / RBI guideline on AML / KYC - Understanding of customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) - Awareness of Industry trends and emerging risk DBS India - Culture & Behaviors: DBS is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected, and their opinions count.
