Analyst-Corporate Actions

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all Corporate Actions across various product types, including both mandatory and voluntary corporate actions. You will act as a liaison between Portfolio Managers, Trading, Accounting, Operations, and external Custodians to facilitate seamless communication and coordination. Your key responsibilities will include researching and developing a comprehensive understanding of the terms and conditions of voluntary corporate actions. You will be tasked with coordinating the communication of elections with Portfolio Management and portfolio custodians, as well as instructing custodian banks of Portfolio Managers" decisions within specified deadlines. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating corporate actions to all impacted stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be involved in performing mandatory corporate action procedures, monitoring corporate action events, and processing events in Aladdin and Hi-Portfolio. It will be essential for you to research and gain an in-depth understanding of each corporate action event to effectively carry out your responsibilities. As the primary resource for corporate action issues across all departments, you will be required to research and respond to inquiries from business partners related to corporate actions. You will also play a key role in creating and enhancing department procedures for processes within the team, identifying and mitigating risks, and improving workflow efficiencies. Additionally, you will assist with necessary system enhancements for the department. To qualify for this position, you must have 1-3 years of Fund accounting or corporate actions experience, along with a master's degree or equivalent. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, and you should possess knowledge of financial securities and the investment industry. The ability to understand and interpret complex corporate action documentation, resolve issues promptly, and deliver results with a high level of accuracy is crucial. Preferred qualifications include excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently to meet strict deadlines. A strong work ethic with high standards for accuracy and attention to detail is important, along with the ability to collaborate with multiple business partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also preferred.
