Analyst - Business Analyst

Role Summary:

The role requires understanding an enterprise IT infrastructure operational environment and industry best practice.

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on development in order to continuously increase their own skills as well as mentor

other technical resources in the group.

Job Summary:

• Installation, configuration, tuning and management of servers (Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 & 2022).
• Administer and support core Microsoft Windows Server, Windows AD and VMware technologies.
• Ensures overall service levels for server uptimes through patch management standards, enterprise images and driver packages.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the availability of all server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of schedules jobs.
• Analyzes trend data to identify potential patch related issues on various images and assists teams in troubleshooting to implement any resolutions/improvements needed for proactive resolution.
• Managing OU, Sites and Services, User Groups, Map Drive policies, GPO and GPP Management.
• Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure services, settings, directories, storage etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Develops automation scripts and programs to streamline manual patch operations and improve mean time to deliver and first-time right metrics.
• Provides technical support and consultation to the Application support team and customers as needed.
• Hands-on experience with vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, Vcenter, and storage migrations.
• Manage client's private cloud computing environment by monitoring usage, updating software, and troubleshooting issues.
• Prioritize, plan, organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Must have knowledge on VMware Virtual Networks, VMware Virtual Switches and Port Groups.
• Applies Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework knowledge.
• Escalates issues for resolution to appropriate teams when necessary. Runs compliancy and server health reports as needed

• Demonstrable experience in Infrastructure Operations.
• Strong problem solving, understanding of RCA and analytical skills.
• Windows Server OS configuration and hardening to meet strict standards and regulations.
• Maintain an in-depth awareness of Microsoft technologies, roadmaps, and development activities.
• Working knowledge of ITIL.
• Knowledge of enterprise data center and infrastructure environments.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong service focus.
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and to switch tasks and/or used technologies
• Minimum 2 years experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and WSUS in a multi-site, enterprise environment.
• Min 2-4 years Information Technology or Engineering or information Systems, or related work experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of systems engineering/administration experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• Ability to communicate technical issues and translate into non-technical business reviews.
