• Provide the management with a daily overview of Air India fleet technical status, open defects, and short-term maintenance events
• Act as the project Manager and company focal point of contact during AOG situations or delays
. • Analyze Air India fleet delays and disruptions, providing advice on improvement and optimization
• Optimize the fleet performance for Special Operations requirement such as EDTO, Polar operation, Pacific operation, etc. Coordinate with IOCC in case of any defect affecting such operation
• Liaise with IOCC and the subcontracted AMO to effectively manage any required(additional) downtime and resources
• Liaise with the flight crew on operational defects, restrictions or other technical questions and provide the necessary technical advice as and when required
• Liaise with subcontracted AMO to assist with troubleshooting advice or any other technical issue
• Ensure that all staff under his control is in possession of appropriate skills, are adequately trained and up to date on latest methods, procedures / requirements.
• Liaison with Quality Dept. / Technical Services Manager regarding aircraft system and component reliability
• Coordinate maintenance resources as appropriate to ensure aircrafts meets the scheduled departure time
• Preparation of budget for MCC and ensure compliance of approved Operating expenditure and capital expenditure
• Liaise with TSD and various OEM for Technical issues
• Build an effective system for recording & analysis of in-service Incidents / defects, to enable quick decisions and corrective actions, to ensure safe and optimal operations of Air India fleet
• To have a system in place to report all Incidents to CAM and Quality Manager
• Arrange One Off Authorization as and when required, and maintain record
• Responsible for efficient administration of MCC
• Maintain an effective organizational and administrative system for Maintenance Control Center, facilitate audits by Quality Assurance and others and coordinate to comply with the audit findings.
• Demonstrate clear understanding of company policies and regulatory requirements.
Team Management
• Responsible for conducting competency assessment and annual appraisals of all Maintenance Control Centre staff to assist them in improving their performance
• Support, nurture and develop the team members skills
