Description
As an Automotive Over-the-Air (OTA) Software Update Professional, your role involves researching technologies necessary for developing an Automotive OTA software update system. You will study customer needs, benefits to OEMs, and create a business case for OTA. Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Product Planning, Quality Assurance, and other Design/Development teams is essential. Your key responsibilities include: - Designing the Architecture of Over-The-Air Software Update System for different vehicle E/E architecture variants across the vehicle lineup - Creating requirements & specifications for End-to-End OTA system implementation across various in-vehicle systems/controllers and over cloud infrastructure - Documenting architectural concepts, feature/function flow diagrams, and design implementation - Supporting deployment of requirements/specifications with internal and external stakeholders, including Tier-1 suppliers - Ensuring performance quality of the system through validation at Unit, Integration, System, and vehicle level - Establishing testing/validation infrastructure and procedures - Analyzing root causes of issues reported during testing/validation, identifying countermeasures, and implementing them - Ensuring adherence to secure-by-design approach across the concept, architecture, design, and development stages of OTA system - Identifying and assuring compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and guidelines applicable across various geographies - Evaluating alternate approaches/systems through workshops, Proof-of-Concept projects, etc. - Tracking and reporting project status to senior leadership Competency Requirements: - Technical/Functional: - OTA: Knowledge of Over-the-Air Software update technologies and methods, automotive E/E Architecture, Connected Vehicle architecture, Telematics feature/functions, computer networking, and OSI model - Hardware: Understanding of controllers function in the vehicle environment, Micro-controller, Micro-processor, SoC devices, multi-core platforms, and Hypervisor - Software: Experience with embedded software architecture and development, automotive OS (e.g., Auto-Grade Linux, QNX, RTOS), software structure for embedded systems, software differential and compression technologies - Cybersecurity: Awareness of cybersecurity assets in automotive, cybersecurity properties, experience with cybersecurity functions and technologies - Software Development: Experience of Embedded Software development lifecycle, understanding of modern software development concepts - Verification & Validation: Experience with software/function verification on Bench and Vehicle, creating test check sheets from system specification - Diagnostics & Communication Protocols: Experience with UDS/KWP2000/DoIP, theoretical and practical knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet Communication protocols - Tools: Experience of ECU testing, electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills, knowledge of operating analysis tools - Standards: Working knowledge of Automotive Software Update standard ISO 24089, Cyber Security standard ISO/SAE 21434, Functional Safety ISO 26262, APSICE, Information Security ISO 27001, UNECE regulations UN R155 & R156 - Language: Knowledge of Japanese language would be an added advantage Educational Requirement: - Essential: B.E / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication - Desirable: Masters / Other advance degree/certifications in Automotive/Embedded Electronics, IoT, Cloud or Cybersecurity,
