As an Automotive Over-the-Air (OTA) Software Update Professional, your role will involve researching technologies necessary for developing an Automotive OTA software update system. You will need to study customer needs, benefits to OEMs, and the business case for OTA. Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Product Planning, Quality Assurance, and other Design/Development teams will be crucial. Key Responsibilities: - Designing the Architecture of the Over-The-Air Software Update System based on different vehicle E/E architecture variants across the vehicle lineup. This includes understanding and explaining the merits, limitations, risks associated with various OTA architecture options. - Creating requirements and specifications for the End-to-End OTA system implementation across various in-vehicle systems/controllers and over cloud infrastructure. Documentation of architectural concepts, feature/function flow diagrams, and design implementation will be required. - Supporting the deployment of requirements/specifications with internal and external stakeholders, including Tier-1 suppliers. Resolving conflicts between stakeholders by explaining system requirements and necessary deliberations. - Ensuring the performance quality of the overall system through validation at Unit, Integration, System, and vehicle levels. Establishing testing/validation infrastructure and procedures. - Analyzing root causes of reported issues during testing/validation, identifying countermeasures, and implementing them. Ensuring adherence to a secure-by-design approach throughout the concept, architecture, design, and development stages. - Identifying and assuring compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and guidelines applicable across various geographies. Evaluating alternate approaches/systems through workshops and Proof-of-Concept projects. - Tracking and reporting project status to senior leadership. Competency Requirements: Technical/Functional: - OTA: Working knowledge of Over-the-Air Software update technologies and methods. Understanding of automotive E/E Architecture and Connected Vehicle architecture. - Hardware: Understanding of controllers" function in the vehicle environment. Knowledge of Micro-controller, Micro-processor, SoC devices, and their architecture. - Software: Experience with embedded software architecture and development. Knowledge of automotive OS such as Auto-Grade Linux, QNX, RTOS, etc. - Cybersecurity: Awareness of cybersecurity assets in automotive, understanding cybersecurity properties in the automotive domain, experience with cybersecurity functions and technologies. - Software Development: Experience with Embedded Software development lifecycle for automotive systems, understanding modern software development concepts. - Verification & Validation: Experience with Software/function verification on Bench and Vehicle, creating test check sheets. - Diagnostics & Communication Protocols: Experience with UDS/KWP2000/DoIP, knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet Communication protocols. - Tools: Experience with ECU testing, operating analysis tools like Vector CANoe, CANalyzer. - Standards: Knowledge of Automotive Software Update standard ISO 24089, Cyber Security standard ISO/SAE 21434, Functional Safety ISO 26262, etc. - Language: Knowledge of Japanese language would be an added advantage. Educational Requirement: - Essential: B.E / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication. - Desirable: Masters/Other advanced degree/certifications in Automotive/Embedded Electronics, IoT, Cloud, or Cybersecurity.,
