Job Description

As a candidate for the role of Monitoring Officer in the Remittances Operations team at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of processes and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring the performance of external vendors and operating staff in the unit to ensure efficient operations - Standardizing processes and updating process notes regularly - Conducting regulatory reporting activities as per RBI and other regulators" requirements - Developing and implementing an effective Business Continuity Plan for the unit - Ensuring day-to-day processes are run as per defined procedure notes and policies - Contributing to performance parameters such as cost management, key process performance indicators, and customer satisfaction levels - Maintaining internal control standards and implementing audit points and compliance policies - Identifying operational risks associated with the role and taking necessary actions to mitigate them Your principal responsibilities will include: - Reviewing processes and systems to ensure business flexibility while complying with regulatory guidelines - Developing a Business Continuity Plan for remittance products and conducting regular tests - Monitoring costs and optimizing operations resources - Processing transactions as per guidelines and addressing customer complaints for process improvements - Monitoring staff performance, identifying training needs, and ensuring regulatory compliance - Complying with internal and external guidelines while processing transactions to minimize operational risks - Observing internal controls and implementing Group Compliance Policy - Managing within the regulatory framework to avoid reputational impact on the Bank Requirements for this role include: - 1-3 years of overall Banking exposure with 1 year of specialized experience in managing Remittances Operations - FEMA knowledge, preferably FEDAI certified - People and Stakeholders Management skills - Strong Communication and decision-making ability - Thinking and Problem-solving skills - Customer-centric approach to support business growth At HSBC, we are committed to providing a workplace that values diversity, fosters professional development, and offers opportunities for growth.
