Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced In-House Counsel to join our legal team, specializing in electricity law, regulatory affairs, commercial litigation and commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling electricity-related court cases, power purchase agreements (PPAs), co-generation power plant matters, commercial contracts and dispute resolution involving vendors, contractors, and service providers in the manufacturing industries.

Preferred candidate profile

• Draft, review, and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other electricity sector-related contracts, including commercial agreements, engineering and procurement contracts, service contracts, logistics and transportation agreements, land acquisition documents and lease deeds, as well as commercial contracts supporting procurement and operations within the manufacturing industries.
• Assist on legal and regulatory issues related to co-generation power plants, including compliance.
• Represent the company in commercial litigation and arbitration involving vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Provide legal support for commercial transactions, including drafting and vetting of all kinds of commercial contracts of manufacturing companies.
• Liaise with external counsel for civil, regulatory, and arbitration matters.
• Maintain and organize legal documentation, case records, and contract repositories.

Preferred Attributes:

• Prior in-house legal experience in the manufacturing, or power generation sectors.
• Familiarity with land acquisition processes, lease documentation, and industrial regulatory frameworks.
• Experience coordinating with external counsel on litigation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
