As a Design Engineer with around 2 years of industry experience, you will be joining a dynamic engineering team in Coimbatore. Your role will involve creating and modifying detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components and assemblies. You will interpret and apply GD&T symbols accurately and collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality. Participation in design reviews, contribution of ideas, and troubleshooting design-related issues will be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will perform basic engineering calculations, ensure design compliance with industry standards, and support prototyping and testing activities. Key Responsibilities: - Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components and assemblies - Interpret and apply GD&T symbols accurately - Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and quality teams - Participate in design reviews, contribute ideas, and troubleshoot design-related issues - Perform basic engineering calculations and tolerance stack-ups - Ensure design compliance with industry standards and project specifications - Support prototyping and testing activities Key Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in design engineering - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability - Experience in designing both mechanical components and test rigs - Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and engineering physics - Proficient in using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360) - Good knowledge of GD&T symbols and applications - Familiar with manufacturing processes including machining, forging, and casting - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications - Strong communication and team collaboration skills In addition to the above details, the job is located in Coimbatore, and the company provides accommodation.
