Manpower Resources India Pvt. Ltd is a leading Executive Search & Selection company, caters to recruitment services in Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Engineering & Healthcare domain.

We have been mandated by a large conglomerate which is into Stainless Steel Manufacturing for the below mentioned role.

Job Title:

Location: Boisar Maharastra

The incumbent will be responsible to lead and oversee procurement operations for stainless steel requirements across various ongoing and upcoming projects. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, vendor development, contract management, and ensuring timely delivery of materials as per project schedules. The incumbent must have deep domain knowledge in stainless steel grades, specifications, market trends, and supplier ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

• Exposure of working in Stainless Steel Sector within India or abroad. Initiating the Project Procurements.                 
• Creating the Budget Plan.   
• Coordinating Internal Stakeholders.
• Coordinating Vendors. Communicating Responsibilities and Updates. Supporting Implementation and Transition. Knowledge and skills.
• Business oriented, proactive and autonomous.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Have to analyze figures and you are particularly familiar with commercial data (pricing and terms and conditions).
• Must have strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Able to work inside matrix teams and you are a real team-player.                  
• Strong knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical. Develops a purchasing strategy.
• Closely monitor production status conjunction with Production Planning and Quality Management
• Manage data integrity as it relates to production lead-time, order minimums, production split and other ordering rules
• Analyze and evaluate vendor capacity and raise any potential risk to Management / provide viable alternatives
• Work together with local logistics team to ensure timely delivery and smooth supply chain within region.
• Execute purchase orders in conjunction with 100% construction documents.
• Evaluate and confirm vendor deliverables are in sync with approved project timelines
• Strategize with vendors on missed dates and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Store Planning team members to understand orders and delivery time frames.
• Utilize analytical expertise to implement cost savings and cost avoidance within the supply chain.
• Reviews and processes purchase orders.
• Manages other members of the purchasing team.
• Maintains records of goods ordered and received.
• Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers.
• Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
• Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.
• Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
• Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfilment of orders.
• Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
• Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
• Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
• Keeps up with trends in procurement.
• Travels to vendor locations for evaluations.
• Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary.
• Previous experience in steel sector.
