Job Summary:

end-to-end project execution, commissioning, and operations

Key Responsibilities:

A. Project Management:

• Lead the planning, design review, procurement coordination, and execution of WTP-related projects (greenfield, brownfield, or upgradation).
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project completion within budget.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and performance evaluation of WTP equipment such as clarifiers, RO/DM plants, softeners, dosing systems, and allied infrastructure.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, technical specifications, and BOQs.

B. Operations:

• Supervise daily operation and maintenance of the WTP, raw water intake, filtration units, RO/DM plant, cooling tower make-up systems, and other utilities.
• Optimize process parameters, chemical consumption, and water balance to ensure cost-effective operation.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions

C. Compliance & Quality:

• Ensure adherence to water quality standards, statutory environmental norms, and internal SOPs.
• Prepare and maintain logs, MIS reports, compliance documents, and audit records (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
• Interface with Pollution Control Board and other regulatory authorities as required.

D. Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Lead a team of engineers, operators, and technicians across project and operation functions.
• Train team on new technologies, safety practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate closely with electrical, mechanical, and power plant operations teams.

E. Budgeting & Inventory:

• Prepare O&M budgets, project CAPEX estimates, and monitor cost control.
• Ensure availability of critical spares, consumables, and chemicals.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Captive power plant, process industry (cement, steel, chemical), utilities in large manufacturing setups
• Project management (water/utility projects)
• Strong understanding of WTP/ETP/RO/DM operations
• Knowledge of statutory and environmental regulations
• Proficient in technical documentation and stakeholder communication
• Team leadership and cross-functional coordination
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with SCADA/DCS-based operations (preferred)
