As a Procurement Manager at a market leader in energy efficient air technology and HVAC solutions, your role will involve spearheading and leading the plant procurement to ensure a smooth flow of raw materials and bought out parts for the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Your key responsibilities will include: - Purchasing commodities such as steel, copper, and aluminium. - Handling imports of electronic components from UK, Europe, Vietnam, Malaysia, and compressors from Thailand. - Floating enquiries, obtaining quotations, preparing cost sheets, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for various parts. - Conducting negotiations and finalizing prices with Department Managers. - Approving vendor development for job work. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - BE in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 15 years of experience in plant purchase with oversight of an annual spend of 150Crs. - Previous experience in managing commodity purchases like steel, copper, and aluminium. - Exposure to import processes. - Proficiency in procurement of controllers, panels, isolators, fans, drives, condensers, and evaporator units. - Experience in leading a team.
