Role

The O&M Lead is responsible for overseeing the post-handover operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for a designated portfolio of projects, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with safety standards, and timely execution of maintenance schedules. This role ensures accurate financial tracking, timely invoicing of maintenance and subcontractor bills, and acts as an authorized signatory to facilitate smooth post-handover activities.

Responsibilities

1.

  • Ensure the accurate tracking, preparation, and timely invoicing of maintenance-related bills, including client and subcontractor payments.
  • Monitor ongoing maintenance costs and identify opportunities for optimization without compromising quality or operational performance

2.

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for road assets (pavements, bridges, drainage systems) to ensure timely upkeep and minimize service disruptions, aligned with contractual obligations
  • Lead rapid response teams to address operational issues and road incidents, ensuring safety and minimizing downtime, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and service agreements.
  • Ensure the availability and functionality of road maintenance machinery and spare parts, coordinating with procurement teams to optimize inventory and ensure operational readiness.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance activities across allocated projects, ensuring smooth execution of preventive and corrective maintenance schedules in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to the organizations safety protocols, environmental standards, and compliance requirements, including road safety, debris clearance, patrolling, and emergency response readiness

4.

  • Work closely with project teams, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the seamless execution of maintenance activities and resolve any post-handover issues.
  • Regularly interact with clients and key internal teams to provide status updates on ongoing maintenance, resolve any operational issues, and align efforts with project goals and client expectations

Preferred candidate profile

  • B.Tech. in Civil / MBA with 15 - 18 years of experience in Highway O & M Projects (HAM & EPC)
  • Must have experience in managing 2-3 Highway Projects as an In charge
