Job Description

Position : AGM - Operation_Rolling Mill

Location: Jharkhand

Qualification: BE/B.tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Production/ Industrial Engineering

Experience: - 15+ Years experience in Rolling Mill Operations.

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be responsible to lead and optimize rolling mill operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting quality standards, delivery schedules, and continuous improvement goals.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day rolling mill operations (Rebar/Wire Rod/Section Mill as applicable).
Ensure achievement of production targets in terms of quantity, quality, yield, and cost.
Optimize mill performance through process control, parameter optimization, and downtime reduction.
Coordinate production planning with PPC, maintenance, and quality teams.
Drive productivity improvement initiatives (OEE, yield improvement, energy optimization).
Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives.
Analyze process deviations and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
Lead new product development and trial runs in coordination with QA and marketing.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure availability and reliability of critical equipment (furnaces, stands, drives, cooling beds, shears).
Support CAPEX planning, equipment upgrades, and technology improvements.
Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and statutory compliance.
Promote a strong safety culture and reduce accidents/incidents.
Ensure compliance with environmental norms and energy conservation practices.
