Job Description

Role & responsibilities Job Description Machining Operations Management: - Oversee machining processes, including CNC, and other precision machining operations. - Optimize tool selection, machining parameters, and cycle times for improved efficiency. - Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to maintain precision, tolerances, and surface finish requirements. Controls & Automation: - Develop, implement, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robotic systems to enhance machining automation. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine controls, sensors, actuators, and automation software. - Work with IT and engineering teams to integrate smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and cybersecurity protocols for control systems. Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction: - Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles to improve machining and automation processes. - Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to machining operations and control systems. - Reduce scrap rates, machine downtime, and non-conforming parts through proactive problem-solving. Equipment Maintenance & Optimization: - Ensure regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of machining equipment and control systems. - Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize unplanned downtime. - Evaluate and recommend new machining technologies and automation upgrades.
