We have been mandated by a large global conglomerate for the below mentioned position.

Position: AGM - Electrical Projects (Rolling Mill)

Experience :

Location: Jamshedpur, Jharkhand

Educational Qualification-

Job Purpose:

You will be responsible to lead and manage all electrical project activities related to the Rolling Mill, ensuring timely execution within defined quality, cost, and safety parameters. The role involves planning, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems and automation for greenfield and brownfield projects in the Rolling Mill unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

• Lead electrical project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Develop technical specifications and review detailed engineering drawings for all electrical systems (LV/MV/HV).
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and automation teams to ensure integrated project execution.
• Supervise installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment including transformers, switchgears, motors, drives, and power/control panels.

Design & Engineering:

• Evaluate and finalize SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), cable layouts, earthing layouts, and lighting designs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IS/IEC/IEEE standards and best practices.
• Review and approve designs submitted by contractors and consultants.

Vendor & Contractor Management:

• Float RFQs, evaluate techno-commercial offers, and finalize vendors in coordination with the procurement team.
• Monitor vendor and contractor performance to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
• Conduct regular project review meetings with contractors and internal stakeholders.

Automation & Controls:

• Work closely with automation teams to integrate PLC/SCADA systems for process control.
• Ensure smooth implementation of electrical interfaces for mill drives and control systems.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to companys safety protocols, electrical safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for ongoing electrical project work.
• Ensure quality inspections and testing protocols are implemented effectively.
