Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Legal

    Advisory

    &

    Documentation:

  • Expertise in land acquisition processes, including 7/12 revenue records, search, and title verification.
  • Experience in handling government coordination with Tehsildar, Collector office, and Mantralaya.
  • Draft, review, and vet agreements including sale deeds, lease agreements, MoUs, joint ventures, and service contracts.
  • Ensure legal soundness of all contracts related to real estate transactions.
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice on company operations, project approvals, and property- related issues.
  • Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings before courts, tribunals, RERA authorities, and other statutory bodies.
  • Handle disputes with customers, vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate with external law firms/counsels for specialized matters.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Matters:
  • Ensure compliance with RERA, Stamp Duty, Registration Act, Transfer of Property Act, and other real estate laws.
  • Monitor company compliance with statutory requirements including labor, tax, and environmental laws.
  • Maintain records and documentation required for inspections, audits, and approvals.
  • Title Verification & Due Diligence:
  • Conduct title verification and due diligence for land acquisitions and project developments.
  • Review property documents, approvals, and clearances to ensure defect-free ownership.
  • Highlight legal risks and suggest mitigation strategies before project initiation.

  • Corporate Legal Support:
  • Advise management on corporate governance, board resolutions, and statutory filings.
  • Support HR team in handling labor disputes, employment contracts, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide legal opinion on business expansion, mergers, and collaborations.
  • Reporting & Coordination:
  • Prepare MIS reports on legal cases, compliance status, and pending litigations.
  • Keep management informed on legal risks, case status, and possible outcomes.
  • Liaise with internal departments for smooth legal coordination.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications:

  • LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
  • Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council.
  • Minimum 58 years of experience, with at least 3 years in real estate legal matters.

Desired Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of property laws, RERA regulations, and real estate compliance.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and litigation skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal documents and provide clear guidance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time, [Days & Hours as per company policy].
  • Requires travel to courts, government offices, and project sites.
