Advisory Services Consultant- SDET API Testing with Automation Tool As an Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), candidate will be predominantly involved in developing and implementing test automation framework/solutions for modern applications(React/Angular/AEM) with Microservices architecture .The successful candidate will be a primary contributor in ensuring end to end quality of the application by developing automated frameworks; design, develop and execute test cases/ test scripts in CI/CD pipelines supporting all types of applications testing. Primary Skills: SDET, Test Automation, Automation Frameworks - Robot/BDD Data Driven, Web and API test automation, Java Script, Playwright/Cypress, SQL, Selenium, Rest Assured or any API testing, GitHub, Jenkins, Performance testing Primary Responsibilities Ensure high software quality Work as part of the team to achieve key business objectives Work on large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives Collaborate with the team on application architecture design, decision-making and process automation Work on a time sensitive and highly visibility initiative to stabilize the existing regression suite and bring it up to date with the latest code base to test web and mobile OS/browsers combinations Assist with solutions to validate complex scenarios at a code or infrastructure level Review issues found via automation or manual testing to determine if there are environmental issues Determine root cause of issues (i.e. database, file systems, etc.) and work with the Development teams to resolve them Provide feedback to the teams on improvements and assist in coming up with a sustainable maintenance process. Experience in Agile testing methodologies will help Provide alternate design solutions in automation phase Design and implement test enhancements in collaboration with development team through automation Troubleshoot post-production issues and identify root cause Predict emerging customer needs and develop test plan to meet them Participate in the development of test strategy and test plan Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches Writes test code to test product/application code Reviewing and updating the existing Automation framework for data driven testing approach as well as enhancing for supporting cross browser (specifically mobile) testing Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree 7+ years of experience as Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) 3+ years of experience developing test automation or combination of development in Playwright tool and test automation experience 2+ years of experience with agile methodologies Experience with unit testing and test-driven methodologies using Playwright and Java Script/Java coding Experience with test automation framework development and Implementation using prominent design patterns - Robot /BDD/Hybrid or Data Driven Frameworks Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development Test automation experience using Java Script, Java, JUnit, Jenkins, Maven, Playwright, Selenium web driver and BDD frameworks like Cucumber Mobile and Web application experience in a SDET capacity Hands on experience with testing and automating web and mobile applications and services testing in an agile mindset Hands on experience on test automation of APIs (SOAP and REST services) and API testing experience Experience with developer tools and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), such as Eclipse and GitHub for developing on the Java stack Experience working in a CI/CD environment like Jenkins for executing automated tests Hands on experience in Relational/ NoSQL Databases including MS SQL, MongoDB etc. with ability to write complex queries/Stored Procedures Experience in managing automation code using standard Code repository tools (Git/GitHub or SVN etc.) and implementing continuously integration using Jenkins / Circle CI or any other market tool Solid experience in Playwright tool and automation testing using Playwright Relevant automation experience to understand the existing framework and scale up quickly to debug the scripts Proven solid Java script coding skills ( any other scripting skills Java and Python are good to have) Proven solid communication, collaboration and influencing skills to drive change Proven exposure working on any of the RPA tools (UI Path/ Automation Anywhere etc.) and Machine Learning Algorithms is added advantage Proven team player; Technology enthusiast and effective communication
