Job Description

Role: Advisor, HRSC Benefits I

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Service Center (HRSC) for Quest Diagnostics, providing effective and efficient service to internal and external customers. The employee will be responsible for responding to both internal and external customers via phone, email, and other electronic communication with a second-shift schedule (1-10p IST)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative Human Resources tasks accurately according to written instructions/procedure/documentation and manager direction.
  • Complete transactions and data entry in various HR systems
  • Document work completion in a case management system and in a report-out to manager/colleagues as required
  • Identify and document exceptions to process; request additional guidance vs route back to HRSC team as appropriate
  • Identify patterns and recommend process improvements where appropriate
  • Meet accuracy, productivity, and turnaround time / Service Level Agreement goals per assigned task
  • Work closely with other team members on research, issue resolution, and other operational activities
  • Develop working knowledge of functional areas of Human Resources and key processes
  • Attend meetings and respond to inquiries, as needed

Qualifications:

Education Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) or greater in applicable field, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English), including proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Zoom/MS Teams
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and operate independently, guided primarily by written instructions.
  • Outstanding precision, consistency, & attention to detail
  • Understanding of basic timekeeping processes, principles, and data
  • Excellent critical thinking, ability to apply existing logic to new situations and identify/communicate exceptions requiring additional guidance
  • Ability to retrieve and enter data in Core HR and Benefits modules in Oracle HCM
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold standards for data/system security, physically and electronically

Preferred/Desired Skills

  • Intermediate Excel proficiency, including but not limited to lookup functions, pivot tables, and data manipulation
  • 2 years of experience working in Core HR and/or Benefits modules in Oracle HCM
  • Experience with HR data mining and analysis, especially in Benefits subject areas
  • Strong working knowledge of legal and functional requirements related to US benefits, absence, and leaves
