Job Description

As an Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist here at Honeywell, you will be at the forefront of innovation, driving the development of cutting-edge technologies and solutions. You will leverage your expertise in materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields to lead and contribute to critical projects. Your role will involve a combination of technical leadership, research, and development, ensuring that Honeywell remains a leader in technological advancements.

In this role, you will impact the future of Honeywell by leading the ideation, conceptualization, and prototyping of innovative solutions. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to leverage collective expertise and resources, ensuring that R&D projects adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Your contributions will help bring R&D innovations to market, addressing global challenges through innovative solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in the design, development, and testing of innovative solutions
  • Mentor and guide a team of R&D engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
  • Drive innovation by identifying new technologies and methodologies
  • Conduct research to generate intellectual property (IP) and contribute to patent applications
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for applicability to projects
  • Conduct technology assessments to inform decisionmaking
  • Support technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing
  • Identify and assess technical and projectrelated risks
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5+ years of experience performing research and development projects within a technology or manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in areas such as materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and project management
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, or another related field
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technology commercialization is a plus
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Attention to detail
