Advanced Developer

As a Perl / SQL Developer in this remote position, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Perl-based applications to ensure compatibility with MS SQL Server. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing, maintaining, and optimizing Perl-based applications - Leveraging Python for code migration and sustainable solutions - Working with T-SQL / SQL Server to rewrite or adapt application code - Participating in release management and version control using ADO/Git - Collaborating with cross-functional teams for smooth project execution - Setting up monitoring, alerting, and automation tools (nice to have) - Providing technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution In this role, you are expected to lead the application code conversion project from Sybase to MS SQL, ensuring smooth migration. You will also analyze existing Perl code and convert it to Python where feasible for long-term sustainability.
