Most schools in India are built for “the average child.” Everyone moves at the same pace, does the same worksheet, writes the same test, and is judged by the same yardstick.

But children are not average.

PEP Schoolv2 exists because we believe school needs a version 2. A model where learning is genuinely personalized, where children are known deeply, and where teaching is designed around how children actually learn. When you do this well, two things happen together. Children build strong academic foundations and they stay curious.

We are looking for educators who feel energized by this mission. People who want to redesign school so it fits children, instead of forcing children to fit school.

The Opportunity

Most science education in India follows a predictable pattern: memorize definitions, learn procedures, practice for exams. Students can recite the steps of photosynthesis or the laws of motion but have never felt the thrill of actually doing science—of observing carefully, asking questions, designing experiments, making sense of results.

We're building something fundamentally different in our adolescent program. Students in Grades 6-10 work in small groups where they don't just read about science—they experience it. They mix chemicals and observe reactions. They build circuits and test predictions. They dissect specimens and draw conclusions. They learn that science is a way of thinking, not just a body of facts.

You'll work with small groups, which means you can actually know each student. What questions light them up. Where their understanding breaks down. How to scaffold their learning. Then you'll personalize your approach to help each one develop genuine scientific thinking.

What You'll Do

● Make science come alive through hands-on exploration. Design and run experiments that help students discover concepts themselves. Guide observations that lead to questions.

● Teach the scientific process, not just scientific facts. Help students learn to observe carefully, form hypotheses, design tests, analyze data, draw conclusions.

● Personalize instruction for each learner. With smaller groups, you can diagnose exactly where understanding breaks down. Does this student need another experiment? A different analogy? More time to think? More challenge? You can adapt in real-time.

● Learn and apply the science of learning. We'll train you in evidence-based approaches to teaching. You'll implement this research in your classroom.

Background We're Looking For

Strong preference: Master's degree in science (any discipline—physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, etc.) or engineering degree. These backgrounds typically indicate both depth of understanding and problem-solving ability.

But here's what truly matters: If you love science deeply, believe in hands-on learning, and can communicate your passion effectively, we want to talk—regardless of your exact credentials.

Teaching experience: Welcome but not required. We're open to both experienced science educators who want a more personalized, inquiry-based environment AND career changers who are passionate about science and ready to learn how to teach it effectively.

We're a school network founded by IIT-IIM alumni, operating across Bangalore and Hyderabad, serving 400+ students from preschool through Grade 10. Our adolescent program (Grades 6-10) takes a distinctive approach: small group instruction, personalized learning paths, and systematic application of learning science.
