Position: Admissions Counsellor

Location: Electronic city phase 1

Reports to: Centre head

Overview:

Kangaroo Kids International PreSchool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Academic Counsellor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and emotional development of our preschool students, managing admission inquiries, and contributing to the overall success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Admission Enquiry Manager:

- Respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries from prospective parents via phone, email, and in-person.

- Provide detailed information about the preschool's curriculum, teaching methods, facilities, and admission process.

- Organize and conduct tours of the preschool for prospective parents and their children.

- Assist in the enrollment process, including application reviews, interview coordination, and follow-ups with families.

2. Student and Parent Support:

- Offer guidance and support to parents regarding their child's academic and social development.

- Address any concerns or questions parents may have about their child's progress or school experience.

- Conduct regular meetings with parents to discuss their child's progress and development.

3. Training and Development:

- Attend and participate in professional development sessions and training programs to stay updated on the latest educational trends and practices.

- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement new strategies and methodologies in the classroom.

4. Record Keeping and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all student inquiries, admissions, and enrollment details.

- Document interactions with parents and students, including meetings, phone calls, and emails.

- Prepare regular reports on admission statistics and trends for review by the school administration.

5. Collaborative Engagement:

- Work closely with teachers, staff, and administration to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other activities that foster community engagement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Previous experience in an academic counseling or similar role, preferably in a preschool setting.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

- Proficient in using technology for record-keeping and communication.

- Passion for working with young children and their families.
