Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) with experience in AWS RDS/Aurora, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cloud-based database environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security, and supporting 247 operations in a shift-based model.

Key Responsibilities:

Provision, configure, and manage Amazon RDS instances for SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Monitor database health and performance using Amazon CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and custom metrics.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including patching, backups, and snapshot management.
Support database migrations using AWS DMS, including CDC setup and validation.
Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize queries, and manage storage and IOPS.
Implement and enforce database security, encryption (KMS), and access controls.
Participate in a 247shift rotation to support production and critical environments.
Collaborate with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for deployments and incident resolution.
Document standard operating procedures and contribute to automation initiatives.

Qualifications

4-6 years of work experience in relevant field
B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred
