Job Description

Purpose of the job To oversee the financial and administrative functions of Plantation, ensuring smooth operations related to budgeting, statutory compliance,procurement, Payroll and other Payments, HR coordination, and estate administration. Key Accountabilities/Duties & Responsibilities 1. Financial Management & Budgeting • Prepare and oversee estate revenue, CapEx, and OpEx budgets. • Monitor expenses and ensure cost control measures. • Analyze financial performance and provide periodic reports to management. 2. Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws • Ensure compliance with statutory labor laws, PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity, and other financial obligations. • Handle PF remittances, insurance policies, and annual tax filings. • Keep updated with changes in labor and estate-related regulations. 3. Payroll & Labour Management • Maintain labour attendance records and oversee payroll processing, including wages, overtime, and bonus calculations. • Ensure statutory compliance in wage disbursement and employee benefits. • Address labor-related administrative issues in coordination with estate management. Procurement & Vendor Management • Oversee Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), vendor payments, and negotiations. • Ensure timely procurement of materials and maintain inventory control. • Manage vendor contracts, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), and service agreements. 5. Banking & Financial Transactions • Handle bank statements, fund transfers, reconciliations, and financial documentation. • Ensure timely payment of electricity bills, property taxes, and estate-related dues. 6. Land & Estate Records Management • Maintain land records, lease agreements, and ownership documentation. • Ensure timely renewal of legal documents and property-related payments. 7. HR & Administrative Management • Work closely with HR for recruitment, employee welfare, and compliance. • Ensure smooth administrative operations, including estate logistics and workforce planning. • Handle employee grievances and coordinate training programs. 8. Reporting & Coordination • Prepare and present MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial forecasts. • Liaise with government agencies, auditors, and financial institutions for compliance matters. • Coordinate with estate teams to ensure effective financial and administrative management. Essential Qualification Mandatory Skills/ Competencies • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance,Accounting,(B.Com/M.Com). • Experience: 3-4 years in finance, administration, and estate management, preferably in the plantation sector. • Proficiency in: • Experience in agriculture or plantation financial management. • Understanding of estate operations, workforce management, and cost efficiency. • Strong leadership and decision-making Recruitment Process MPT/HR/PROCESS /1.2 Job Description MPT/HR/RP/JD/1.0 Human Resource | Mapletree Farms • Tally ERP / SAP or similar accounting software • Excel and financial reporting • Labour law compliance and payroll management • Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and statutory requirements. • Ability to handle estate-related financial and administrative functions independently Proficiency in Local Language (Tamil).Read &Write. abilities.
