What You’ll Do
Accounts Receivable – Retail (Store Sales)
- Reconcile all collections and follow up with stores/customers/banks for outstanding amounts.
- Coordinate with banks for CMS activation, cash pickup services, POS (Plutus MID/TID) issuance, chargeback cases, and deactivation for closed stores.
- Map Sales POS vs. ERP vs. Inventory Trial to ensure sales accuracy.
- Reconcile POS sale vs. ERP sale across all media (Cash, Card, Paytm, etc.).
- Prepare shortage/excess reports tender-wise and follow up with stores/DMs for resolution.
- Liaise with Paytm, PhonePe, and Mobikwik for QR code activation and payment media setup.
- Track new store openings/closures with the Planning Team.
- Maintain schedules for all receivable accounts (Cash, Card, Paytm, Coupon, etc.).
Accounts Receivable – E-commerce Marketplaces
- Monitor and track payments and settlements across all marketplaces.
- Reconcile marketplace settlement reports with internal sales and ERP records.
- Identify short payments, deductions, returns, and discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed MIS reports for receivables, settlements, commissions, and returns.
- Prepare Aging Reports and highlight overdue receivables.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, raise claims for missing or short payments, and follow up for resolution.
Accounts Receivable – Franchisee Business
- a. Franchisee Billing & Receivables
- Manage receivables for franchise fees, stock supplies, deposits, and marketing contributions.
- Generate and issue invoices, credit/debit notes as per agreements.
- Record payments, reconcile balances, and maintain ledgers.
- b. ERP & Commercial Setup
- Create and maintain franchisee master data (codes, pricing, margin structures, discounts, etc.) in ERP.
- Configure and verify MRP, NOT, NSV, and margin structures.
- Coordinate with Sales and Pricing Teams for revisions and promotions.
- Ensure GST/TDS compliance in all transactions.
- c. Margin & Pricing Control
- Validate margin structures, discounts, and schemes.
- Analyze NSV and gross margin reports for accuracy.
- Support new product setup and ensure correct commercial parameters in ERP.
- d. Stock Deposit & Fee Management
- Track stock/security deposits, maintain ledgers, and process refunds/adjustments.
- Manage franchisee fees, renewals, and marketing fund collections as per contracts.
Accounts Receivable – SOR (Sale or Return) Business
- Track and book secondary sales and ensure timely payment realization.
- Conduct periodic stock audits to validate sales and returns.
- Reconcile SOR accounts (invoices, payments, claims, returns) periodically.
- Prepare AR aging, collection status, and outstanding reports.
- Coordinate with auditors for SOR-related documentation.
- Liaise with Sales, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to resolve billing or pricing issues.
- Recommend process improvements and support automation in ERP for reconciliation and reporting.
- Drive initiatives to reduce DSO and improve collection efficiency.
Must Haves
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
- Experience: 2–6 years in Accounts Receivable / Commercial Finance, preferably across both B2B and B2C environments.
- Exposure to Retail, FMCG, Franchise, or E-commerce industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation, and Commercial Accounting.
- Working knowledge of Retail, E-commerce, Franchisee, and SOR business models.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS preparation) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, etc.).
- Commercial acumen with understanding of MRP, PTR, NSV, Margin, and Pricing logic.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timely collection and reduction in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
- Accuracy in reconciliation, billing, and ERP postings.
- Resolution of payment disputes and claims within defined timelines.
- Compliance with company credit policy and audit standards.
- Accuracy and timeliness of MIS and AR reports.
