Accounts Executive

About The Opportunity

• Maintain full-cycle accounting: journal entries, ledgers, and general ledger reconciliation to support accurate financial records.
• Manage AP & AR: prepare invoices, process vendor bills, schedule payments, chase receivables, and reconcile customer accounts.
• Execute month-end and quarter-end close tasks, prepare standard MIS reports, and support finance lead with variance analysis.
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and assist with other statutory compliances and timely deposit of taxes.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and maintain payment & receipts workflows (payments via bank/PGs).
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants, provide requested schedules and documentation for audits.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance with 2+ years of relevant accounting experience (India).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books and strong bookkeeping fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of GST, TDS, and India statutory compliance requirements.
• Proven ability with bank reconciliations, AP/AR workflows, and month-end close processes.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, data cleansing) and strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills, ability to work on-site, meet deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  

Preferred

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) or working in a SaaS/technology company.
• Knowledge of payroll basics, statutory labour compliances, or prior exposure to statutory audits.
• Intermediary/part-qualified CA or additional certification in accounting or taxation.
