Job Description

An Accounts Assistant provides financial and administrative support to accountants and finance teams by recording transactions, reconciling accounts, processing invoices and payments, managing financial records, and assisting with financial reports. Key responsibilities include maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable, processing payroll, managing petty cash, and ensuring financial data is accurate and compliant with company policies. Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills, along with proficiency in accounting software and Excel, are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Processing:Record, process, and file invoices, purchase orders, expense claims, and other financial documents accurately.
  • Accounts Management:Manage accounts payable (paying invoices) and accounts receivable (chasing outstanding payments), ensuring timely transactions with vendors and clients.
  • Record Keeping:Maintain ledgers, journals, and other financial records, ensuring all financial data is recorded accurately and securely.
  • Bank Reconciliation:Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Payroll Support:Assist with payroll processing by verifying employee hours and benefits deductions.
  • Financial Reporting:Help prepare financial reports, budget forecasts, and statutory accounts under the guidance of senior accountants.
  • Administrative Support:Handle administrative tasks like filing, answering emails and phone calls, and organizing financial files.
  • Compliance and Audits:Assist with tax preparation and participate in quarterly and annual audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel is crucial for data management and analysis.
  • Attention to Detail:A high level of accuracy is needed for financial data entry and record-keeping.
  • Organizational Skills:Excellent organizational and time management abilities are necessary to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Communication Skills:Good communication skills are required for interacting with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Education & Experience:A degree in accounting or a related field is often preferred, along with proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
