Accounting Technician

Role Overview: You will be responsible for accumulating financial data to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial and operational reporting. As a member of the plant FP&A team, you will assist in maintaining plant financial systems. Your role will involve executing transactional and entry-level analytical tasks in collaboration with the FP&A team to drive continuous improvement at the plant. Key Responsibilities: - Communicate with vendors and internal partners, addressing queries, explaining processes, and conducting analysis as required. - Utilize Oracle reports and Discoverer queries to analyze data for reasonableness, trends, and opportunities for process enhancements. - Actively participate in cross-functional teams within the technical accounting group to support operations finance. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement by working with cross-functional teams to enhance processes at the plant and FP&A. - Serve as the primary backup for other processes within the Plant FP&A group. - Perform necessary administrative functions for finance. - Fulfill any other duties assigned by the leadership group. Qualifications Required: - 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance. - Bachelor's Degree with an MBA in finance/ ICWA. - Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Strong attention to detail, data validation skills, and the ability to multitask. - Proven track record of offering continuous improvement ideas, possessing a team player mentality, and exhibiting strong process and communication skills. - Previous exposure to cost accounting is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle, and Hyperion is required. - Excellent computer skills and successful completion of skill tests. - Familiarity with word-processing, graphics, flowcharts, or other software is desirable. - Knowledge of accounting principles is essential for this role.,
