Reports to:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliances, handling taxation matters, and supporting financial planning for the hospitality business. The role requires strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices, GST, TDS, income tax, and regulatory compliances specific to the hospitality sector.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and financial statements.

  • Record daily financial transactions including revenue, vendor payments, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and vendor reconciliations.

  • Prepare MIS reports, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

2. Taxation

  • Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and advance tax payments on time.

  • Ensure compliance with hospitality-related indirect taxes and service taxes.

  • Liaise with tax consultants/auditors for assessments, audits, and tax planning.

  • Keep updated with changes in tax laws impacting the hospitality sector.

3. Statutory & Regulatory Compliances

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, etc.).

  • Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance audits.

  • Prepare documentation and records for inspections and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain licenses and statutory registrations required for hospitality business operations.

4. Financial Management & Support

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control activities.

  • Monitor expenses and suggest areas for cost optimization.

  • Coordinate with banks for loan documentation, LC, OD facilities, and other financial matters.

  • Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.

  • Professional qualification (CA/Inter CA/CMA) preferred but not mandatory.

  • hospitality/hotel/restaurant industry

  • Tally ERP, SAP, or hospitality accounting software

  • GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.

  • Good communication and coordination skills to work with multiple departments.


Key Competencies:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of hospitality cost structures (F&B, rooms, banquets, etc.).

  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle audits.

  • Ethical, trustworthy, and compliance-oriented.
