Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with expertise in taxation and a strong understanding of CESS (Cess on Services/Taxes). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, preparing financial records, and ensuring adherence to tax regulations, including accurate calculation and filing of CESS. Key Responsibilities: Tax Compliance and Reporting Prepare and file tax returns (direct and indirect taxes) in compliance with applicable laws. Calculate and ensure proper payment of CESS as per government regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records and documentation for audits. Financial Accounting Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Tax Planning and Advisory Develop effective tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance. Provide advisory services on CESS-related matters to internal stakeholders. Audit and Compliance Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial and tax documents. Stay updated with changes in tax laws, especially those related to CESS, and ensure the organization’s policies align with new regulations. Team Collaboration Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure seamless operations. Provide training or guidance on CESS and tax-related issues to junior staff when required.
