As an Accountant joining our finance team, your role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and assisting with budgeting and financial planning. You will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain precise financial records such as ledgers, journals, and bank statements. - Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements like income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. - Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations. - Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve financial discrepancies and accounting issues promptly. - Budgeting & Forecasting: Aid in the preparation and analysis of budgets, financial projections, and cost analysis. - Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation for both internal and external audits to ensure audit readiness. - Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee adherence to accounting standards, policies, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). - Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. - Record Keeping and Filing: Ensure proper organization and filing of financial records for easy retrieval. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus). - Experience: Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
