As an Accountant at a Fine Jewelry Manufacturing Company based in Coimbatore, you will play a crucial role in the finance department. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with relevant regulations. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: Accounting & Bookkeeping: - You will be in charge of maintaining precise books of accounts, which includes recording journal entries, managing ledgers, and reconciling accounts. - Your tasks will also involve preparing and posting entries related to sales, purchases, expenses, and other business transactions. Inventory & Cost Management: - Tracking inventory movement and valuation, particularly of raw materials such as gold and gemstones, as well as finished jewelry. - Assisting in cost analysis for production processes and providing support in pricing decisions. - Reconciling stock levels with production and sales data to ensure accurate accounting. Taxation & Compliance: - Your duties will include preparing and filing GST returns, ensuring TDS compliance, and supporting statutory audits to adhere to financial regulations. - Maintaining necessary documentation for export compliance if the company engages in international trade. Financial Reporting: - You will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Generating Management Information System (MIS) reports on cash flow, sales performance, and profitability for effective decision-making. - Collaborating with external auditors and consultants as needed for financial reporting purposes. Process Improvement & Support: - Implementing and managing accounting systems like Tally, Zoho Books, or ERP systems to streamline financial operations. - Supporting the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. - Coordinating with sales, operations, and procurement departments to ensure financial alignment across different functions.
