Role Overview

Accounts Executive TDS & GST

Key Responsibilities

TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) Responsibilities

Prepare and compute monthly TDS deductions as per Income Tax Act provisions.
Ensure timely deposit of TDS payments (monthly).
File quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, etc.).
Reconcile Form 26AS with company records and vendor accounts.
Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16, Form 16A) to employees and vendors.
Track TDS mismatches, resolve errors, and coordinate with vendors for compliance.
Handle TDS on salaries, contractors, rent, commission, professional fees, etc.

GST (Goods & Services Tax) Responsibilities

Prepare monthly GST workings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation).
Ensure timely filing of GST returns and payment of GST liabilities.
Maintain and update GST input/output tax records.
Reconcile purchase register with GSTR-2B and correct mismatches with vendors.
Assist in GST annual return preparation (GSTR-9, GSTR-9C).
Manage GST registration amendments, LUT filings, and invoice verification.
Handle GST notices, queries, and assessments.

General Accounting Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP or accounting software.
Verify and process vendor invoices with correct tax details.
Prepare monthly MIS reports related to tax and compliance.
Assist in statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and company policies.
