Accordion India-Lead Tableau Developer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Tableau Expert who specializes in the development, deployment, and administration of Tableau reporting suite, including gathering and analyzing data, building dashboards by understanding the right representation technique for a given data set, and implementing process improvements throughout the reporting process. He/she will interact extensively with clients/business teams to understand their challenges and design holistic solutions across the value chain i.e., data sourcing to data visualization. Along with the Tableau expertise, he/she should have exposure to various databases, data querying, and data warehousing solutions to be able to design the optimal solution based on requirements. He/she will have to drive team(s) of database developers and visualization developers to implement and deliver projects globally. He/she should act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in Tableau and contribute to company-level initiatives such as trainings, webinars, etc. The role needs people who are self-driven, willing to take ownership of things and see them through, able to earn the trust of their customers and colleagues by having deep expertise in their area, and consistently delivering on their commitments at any cost.

What You will do:

• Manage and execute all phases of the Reporting Life Cycle on Tableau: manage the overall process from logging business requests through to their delivery into production including specification, prioritization, development, quality control, and documentation.
• Work independently and as part of a team to design, develop, test, and implement dashboards/reports on Tableau.
• Implement data management principles and practices, including metadata management and data access technologies.
• Design Customer Solutions: Understand the customers environment thoroughly and devise solutions that address the problem holistically. Collaborate actively with client to ensure that environment is optimally used and charged.
• Gain significant expertise through continuous learning process in most commonly used data warehousing tools and other visualization tools.
• Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support to other project teams and contribute heavily to the company-wide initiatives such as trainings, webinars, etc.

Ideally, you have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing dashboards and reports in Tableau is a must.
• Expert knowledge of Tableau Desktop and Server, including dashboard development, administration, and deployment.
• Expertise in designing dashboards and selecting appropriate data representation techniques using industry best practices.
• Proficiency in advanced Tableau features such as data blending, actions, parameters, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Data modeling and SQL querying experience is a must along with Tableau.
• Experience in any of the data warehousing solutions such as MS SQL, Azure, AWS Redshift, or Snowflake is preferred.
• Experience in any of the other visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, DOMO, etc. is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking skills, process tightness, and delivery mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must for this role.
